I work with graphic art and wood sculptures as my primary way of expression - creativity and craftsmanship in fine association. My approach to art is characterized by the fact that the expression and the message are the primary and the material is the secondary.
My sources of inspiration are Per Kirkeby, among other things, and especially works from the Ex-School make a big impression on me. I also find inspiration in Danish visual artists such as Michael Kvium and Ole Aakjær and many more.
The common denominator in my art is to create works that provide a basis for curiosity, wonder and with a provocative look. Meaningful art is changing attitudes and challenging the norm, I think, and therefore my artistic expression is expressed in the tension between the sober and aesthetic and the provocative boundary-seekers with sexual undertones and with references to subcultures and minorities.
In my works, a settlement can be loaded with society's stigmatizing norms and instead a form of liquid normal denominator is inserted. My paintings are colorful and provocative for the purpose of pushing the boundaries in a humorous way and with ambiguous implicit messages, leaving room for subjective interpretations depending on the eyes that see.
